Hmmm..tough call..Space 1999, while more mature, had some of the most boring scripts of any sci-show ever, Lost, on the other hand, ventured into ridiculous territory.

I'll go with LOST, but only because of the much more serious tone of the first season.

Ok since it's original cylons I'm assuming you mean original cybermen and so I have to go with the cylons as the old cybermen had a really inexplicable wdakness to gold that made no sense.
