I ain't got TCM.
That's okay, I have the restored version on VHS.
Along with DRACULA and Ygor in the SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, Bela as Murder Legendre are his 3 best roles!

Little known movie fact-
Lugosi directed much of this movie, being as the director Victor Halprin was half crocked most of the time.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

Well, the acting is inferior.  The script is sh!t.  The film looks fantastic!!!  And BELA was the only true PRO in the production.  Just cut out the inane story and most of the turd acting and just give me the cool shots of people walking in cemeteries, carrying caskets (this movie does have fncked up moments) and BELA.

The acting is awful. Madeline's husband is a cry baby mother f**ker. I just want to slap him in the face and say-'Be a man!"
And her fawning p**sant wanna be lover..UGH! No wonder he needs a zombie for a wife! No woman is gonna wanna f**k his sniveling ass.

On the other hand Lugosi's slow, deliberate lines, and that stare....!
And the atmosphere is great It never seems to be daylight.
Oh! And, of course, the Angels of Death!

Alex

Yeah, I  love how he glares and twists his hands together in that one.
Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

He uses the same moves when he hypnotizes Loretta King in BRIDE OF THE MONSTER!  :bouncegiggle:
