So why mot ost bits about how movies have evolved over time, this is a movie sight, right? A few real evolutionary films were maybe "Young sherlock holmes" whee the stain glass knight was the first pure CGI image ti actually interact wth real images. Willow, which introduced morphing thru cgi, etc.

From silent films to talkies was a big thing.

Early talkies rarely had soundtracks. Compare the eerie silence of FRANKENSTEIN (1931) and DRACULA (1931) with KING KONG (1933) and the BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935)- both with dramatic music that added much to the film.

Frankenstein now has a musical score. Sometime after the original film, someone sat down and wrote a musical score for it. I know, because, in the area in which I live, a brass orchestra, on Halloween, showed the original Frankenstein, while accompanying the film by playing the musical score for it.

I did NOT like the Philip Glass version of DRACULA at all. Awful. They should have just used snatches from Swan Lake....but no music at all in the opening scenes in Translyvania.
