Been listening to this pair (my latest acquisitions) on a constant loop all week...

METAL CHURCH, "Damned If You Do"
New album from one of my old favorites. I even pre-ordered the Ultra Fanboy Pak bundle that included the CD, a postcard autographed by the whole band, a couple of stickers, and two souvenir guitar picks. Neat-o!

MOTORHEAD, "On Parole"
My Lemmy collection draws closer to completion... this was recorded in '76 by the "original" lineup of Lemmy, Lucas Fox (drums) and Larry Wallis (guitar) and was meant to be Motorhead's debut album, but United Artist Records said it had "no commercial potential" and put it on the shelf.
Lemmy dismissed Wallis and Fox, hired guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke and drummer Phil Taylor and re-cut most of the On Parole tracks (except two) for the "official" Motorhead debut which came out in '77.
United Artists finally released On Parole in '79 to cash in when Motorhead started having some success in the U.K.
This was one of the tracks that was not re-recorded, it even features Larry Wallis on lead vox!

I did not know PETE SHELLEY died December 6.  He'll be remembered because of BUZZCOCKS.
