The episode of DEXTER where he came home after finally dispatching the "Trinity" killer, brilliantly played by John Lithgow, only to find that his wife was Trinity's last victim. It was a sucker punch that I did not see coming.

And the episode of GAME OF THRONES where Circe Lannister blew up the Grand Sept with half the Lords of the Realm, and her daughter-in-law, attending a trial inside. I truly didn't see that coming.

One of the 2 parts of the episode "The Quilt Of Hathor" from FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE SERIES has a sequence where a woman kills herself by ripping out her own eyes in her sleep!

The ending to Season 4 Ep. 8 of GAME OF THRONES, where it appears Oberyn Martell has beaten the giant Mountain, but in a brief moment of carelessness is overtaken and has his skull crushed!

28th episode of season 2 of The Twilight Zone.
That one put me off of watching any more episodes of The Twilight Zone for years.
And the title "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?"

"Home," an episode of "The X-Files" dealing with an inbred mountain clan ala "Hills Have Eyes."

For some reason, that episode wigged me out worse than "Hills" ever did.

I remember my Mom, who used to watch X-Files with me, was so disturbed that she left the room about halfway through and said "I think I'm about done with this show," haha

Twilight Zone - The Shelter

This is the type of episode I tend to think about, that's almost never on the top of anyone's "must watch" list. I think it's one of those great episode like "the monsters are due on maple street", where society crumbles and friendships are tested when SHTF. It constantly makes me wonder about the people I'm friends with and what would happen.
