Harlan Ellison wrote an episode for the batman series called "the two way crimes of two face" that was never made.

Years before writing it,  ellison wrote an ep for Voyage to the bottom of the sea,  and the censor working on the show,  Adrian samish, hacked it up so badly that ellison ended up punching him during a session discussing the censorship.  Samish fell over and dislodged a large model of the seaview which fell on him and broke his pelvis.

Irwin Allen forbade ellison from working for any of his shows again, so he had no input on lost in space.

Well,  the batman series came along and ellison wrote an ep for it about two face.  He'd  heard samish,  who had vowed to never let an ellison script past him again,  was leaving ABC and wanted to try getting an ep on the batman series.

Sadly Samish was leaving the day the upcoming scripts were being accepted and so Ellison's submission was rejected because "Harlan Ellison does not  work for ABC. "

Ellison's 11 page draft of the two way crimes of two face sat for decades and was eventually done as an issue of the "Batman 66" comic series.  A gimmick from it was used in an episode of the animated batman series.

Two face may have been played by rock Hudson.
