Two weeks ago I began reading the "Robotech" book series. It's quite good, it has nice action and it's true to the show. Often I'm remineded of scenes from the t.v. show. Does anybody have a favorite "t.v. show turned into books." series?

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

I used to be into the Indiana Jones Choose Your Own Adventure books. Not a tv show, but all I could come up with. My only gripe with the books I read, not enough Short Round!! My gripe with the books that heavily featured Short Round...you could never choose an adventure that ended with his painful death. Still, they are fondly remembered.

Everyone has potentially fatal flaws, but yours involve a love of soldiers' wives, an insatiable thirst for whiskey, and the seven weak points in your left ventricle.

I liked the Robotech series, too.
The Trek books are iffy. Depends on the author. The X-wing series by Stackpole is great, and Kevin Anderson is good too. The Creation of unpredictable plots in the Star Wars books has been a change of pace, compared to most series.

I've read the Macross section of the Robotech books, but kind of lost interest when it hit the Southern Cross portion, which was my least favorite of the show. I have the entire series except for book #18 (I think), including The Sentinels 1-5.

There are alot, and I mean alot, I'd think people would be surprised at how many. Here are some of them.

Alias
Angel
Buffy, the Vampire Slayer
Dawson's Creek
Miami Vice
Night Gallery

And maybe not a book series, but, "The Wild, Wild West," not the film, though, that was also turned into a book, was turned into at least one stand alone book. Let me give it some thought, and I'll see how many more I can find.

As promised, here are some more television series that gave rise to a series of books.

Alien Nation
Battlestar Galatica
Prisoner: Cell Block H
Private Eye
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
Space: 1999

And the "Hollywood Squares" (the original, not the remake) gave rise to a couple of joke books, which are really quite funny.
