I maybe getting another dose of paranoia.

Unfortunately my paranoia is that no one would do that (I feel like a few people I know are ignoring me and I don't know if it was something I did)

I have no idea how (or why) you do it. I accidentally posted on a conspiracy theorist thread and immediately regretted it. I don't find arguing with people whose minds are made up satisfying at all. Just frustrating and, frankly, a little bit sad.

All jokes aside - I have over 2600 people on my feed.  I feel like if I don't take a stand for things that I think are right, I'm failing in my moral duty.

Remember, even if the person you argue with has already made up his mind there are a hundred other people reading the thread who haven't.

True enough, guys. It just seems like there are more fruitful ways to spend your time. Also, initiating an idea (via, say, a post) gives you the agency and seems to me to have more persuasive punch then engaging in a back-and-forth debate. (Who said, "Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and defeat you with experience"?)

Good news: I've managed to save up some MONEY lately!
Bad news: I needed new glasses which wiped out most of my savings.

OR....

Bad news: I need new glasses!
Good news: I happen to have some money to pay for them.

I guess somethings is all in how you look at them.

Watched The Predator the other night. While watching it and anytime I've thought about it since I keep thinking of the new Predator as being an Uruk Hai.

After what he did with Lethal Weapon 2, I would feel dirty watching anything that Shane Black made: I always laugh when he gets his ass kicked by the Predator.

Not sure if this puts me in the "bad parenting" category or not.

Yesterday two of my boys were talking.  Andrew (16) was telling Zachary (13) about the border with Canada.  He began explaining how they have a laser grid security system to keep Americans out.  He then provided "evidence".


"See they have lasers in place which is why there are no trees on the border."  Zachary asked why they would do that.  This is where I came in, "They put the laser grid there because they are worried that Americans will come in with guns and try to take their free health care.  What they don't realize is we just want to go to Canada for their beer." 

After about a 15 minute discussion, I believe that Zachary believes the Canadians have a laser security grid to keep Americans out of Canada.
