She's 87 and has terminal cancer; her healing will be found on the other side of this illness, when she is with my Dad and the God she loved and served faithfully all those years.

And that's where my hope is, too.

I recently switched from Android to iPhone and I'm getting used to the differences except... the autocorrect on iPhone is really aggressive. It keeps insisting on changing my correct text to something incorrect. I sometimes have to retype a word 3 times until it gets that I typed what I meant!

Hurrah for getting permission to send almost everyone home earlier than usual. Everyone but Stresshead Jim gets to go home at 14:00. Because he is on call this weekend he has to work a bit later.

I recently re-discovered the magic of gentle frying food. The results are usually astonishing.
It also made me appreciate grilled cheese even more, after making it on low heat.

that's the best method for bacon, especially if you like it shatter crispy. you can also save the fat easier too, much less straining involved.
