Anyone ever had this? I visited Belle Isle seafood in lovely border of East Boston and Winthrop today and had some of it.

I liked it better than a lobster roll. Lobster rolls are often cold and salady with mayo and lettuce and so forth and it doesn't really work for me.

The tartar sauce there was a miss. great with fried clams, but lobster is something else entirely. I stuck with the butter mainly

I'm allergic to shrimp so I've been afraid to try other crustaceans. That lobster pie looks delish.

Never actually tried lobster. Must get around to it one day. Always assumed it is similar to crab.

Alex - yes but a lot more meat.

lobster is abundant here in the northeast so different permutations are always being dreamed up.

lobster mac and  cheese and lobster ravioli are popular ones

Alex

Good, I like crab but it takes a lot of effort to just get a little meat. And I've only tried the leg and claw meat. I've never quite felt like trying the brown soupy stuff in the middle. I've been told it is an acquired taste.

I love lobster pie . . . or lobster prepared just about any way.

I had a baked stuffed lobster a couple years ago that was AMAZING, but I'll be damned if I can remember where I ate it. It was stuffed with seasoned breadcrumbs and scallops. I mean, it must have had about 8 big scallops stuffed into it. Man, was that good. And this, my children, is why I am a fat bastich.
