I was just reminded of this... Actually amusing and entertaining b movie recently.

Anyone want to discuss it?

I kind of have to admire the vision and determination of whoever concieved this and decided to get it made,  and the balls of whoever invested in it.

There's also some really good effects work for a lower budget film at the time.  I think my favorite scene is the shadow puppets.

it was a big hit and must see alterna movie a la Pee Wee's big Adventure when I was growing up. and lived up to the hype I thought

Very fun movie and I agree that it has some kickass theme song. What I licked the most was the fact that at the end the two idiots survived, I kinda grew fond of them and felt sad when they supposedly died.

And while it is a silly and mostly humorous film, the puppet cop scene was extremely disturbing.

Loved watching this when it came out, and I still enjoy watching it today.

The movie has some great visuals and monster designs.  The whole things does a good job walking the ine between actually creepy and funny. 

And yes, the theme song rocks.
