I just watched Satanis: The Devil's Mass. It is actually not too bad of a documentary about the Church of Satan. It is on a double feature though with Sinthia: The Devil's Doll, a Ray Dennis Steckler joint. Hence this thread.

I did a review of the KILLING OF SATAN (1983) some years back...real BAD movie!

Rosemary's Baby leaps to mind. Honestly, show a little respect for the membership of Satanic cults, Roman, they're not all women raping misfits, some future residents of the lake o' fire are perfectly ordinary people with perfectly ordinary daddy issues, working perfectly ordinary welfare schemes, and just trying to get by like the rest of us. But I guess all filmmakers are influenced by things that interest them.

Speaking of Satan in movies I liked the portrayel of him in the original "Heavan can wait". A fairly kindly and genial devil with a genuine concern that only those deserving it end up in hell.

There's an old black and white movie about a man who makes a deal with the Devil, and he gets three wishes. He wants an icy pole, and the devil gives him one. He wants a million dollars, and the Devil hands him a million dollar bill. I wish I knew what this movie was, I saw it as a kid on the Midday Movie on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, there's a boatload of Satanism in exploitation films of the 60s, 70s and 80s.

How about "the devil's bride", aka "the devil rides out" starring Christopher Lee and The Man With No Neck? (Rhps reff)

the SATANIC RITES OF DRACULA (1973) aka DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE is one of the WORST Hammer horrors I've ever seen.
Dracula has a team of bikers wearing Sonny Bono fur vests working for him! It's like a terrible mix of Bond and Dracula. Plus Satanism! What a s**t stew!
