IF there was an official bad movie fan society that people had to apply for membership and pass  an initiation test to join that consisted of watching 3 bad movies what movies would you pick?

Me?

Manos hate of fate.

Plan 9 from outer space.

Zardoz!

Note that  I actually like zardoz. However I did recIeve a death threat from someone who watched it at my advice once. He vowed to find me and kill me for my being responsible  for his seeing that  movie. It was the nicest and most polite death threat I ever got.

THE LOST EMPIRE
PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE
TERROR OF BLOODFART LAKE
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

If it was going to be a real torture test,  to make sure someone was tough enough to be a real hard core bad movie fan we could dial it up to "brutal" levels.

Let's see now...

Treasure of the four crowns. Man I remember this as being truly ghawdawful.

Jaws 3D.  Dumb. Dumber. Dumbest.

Titanic 2. Treating a wound by taping a credit card over it.  Uuugggghhhhh.

Or we could do a "wheel of horror" type initiation. Put the title of every asylum film ever made on a big wheel, have the poor schmuck spin it 3 times and see want he has to watch.

I would make them pick the movies, but there has to be one of each of this categories:

* One movie from the Polonia Brothers.
* One movie from Roger Corman.
* One movie from Ed Wood.

Mind you, I don't consider all movies from those directors bad, but it's just for the historical factor.
Once that deed is done and they have an idea of what bad movies are all about, they go into the second and final phase, which is nothing more than an endurance test. It consist in watching these movies in a row without laughing or making a single comment about the wardrobes, special effects, or plot (or lack of one):

* THE GIANT CLAW
* WEASELS RIP MY FLESH
* BIRDEMIC
* TARKAN VS THE VIKINGS

If they accomplish that, then they're ready.

Oh, silly me, I clicked this thinking there might be a new burnt offering requirement for prospective members.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

The Burgomaster

I think PLAN 9 and MANOS are at the top of the list. But for variety, I'll throw these out there:

* FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER (1965)

* Al Adamson's DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN (1971)

* EEGAH! (1962)

PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. I enjoyed BRIDE OF THE MONSTER more, but PLAN 9 is an anti -classic, of sorts.

ROBOT MONSTER.

BLOOD FREAK.
