THE SEA HAWK (1940) -  Starring Errol Flynn and directed by the great Michael Curtiz who did all of Flynns great films and also Casablanca. This is another good swashbuckler like CAPTAIN BLOOD (1935). The opening music and ship battle is very good and the rest of the film keeps you watching all the way through. Flynn plays the captain of the a privateer ship for England and loots Spanish ships. Check it out and you won't be dissappointed. Hey Deej did you see this one yet?

Absolutely! As you mentioned, another great Errol Flynn/Michael Curtiz/Alan Hale teaming. One of the best of its type.  Incidentally, while the title is taken from the Rafael Sabatini novel, the story is totally different, one example of the movie being better than the book!

Everyone has potentially fatal flaws, but yours involve a love of soldiers' wives, an insatiable thirst for whiskey, and the seven weak points in your left ventricle.
