That song gives me chills every time I hear it. I so wish they'd released it as a single.
Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

This is "Sucio y Desprolijo" (roughly translated to "Dirty and Scruffy"), probably the most famous song from Pappo Napolitano. This particular version, my favorite, is played by Divididos, and has been endorsed by Pappo himself after watching them performing it.

There's no other song that has the power to cheer me up like this one. It's not just a song, it's a way of life.

I love this song- but it's hard for me to listen to. It reminds me of being in the Catholic orphanage. Becuase the hippy Jesus freak guy who was our - I dunno- he worked for the church- took us to see the YELLOW SUBMARINE at the movie theater.I was real young. about 6 I reckon.
I do know I was sad. Because I didn't know where my Ma and Dad where. My brothers were there- but I never saw them. I felt very alone. But I saw this at the theater with some stoned out Jesus freak who was our caretaker and about 10 other kids. On the way back there was a trail in the woods we walked on next to the railroad track to get back to the orphange, and there was a forest fire. I remember us all running down that track to the orphange.
It's weird. I can recall s**t that happened 50 years ago- but I'll be damned if I can tell you what I did 2 weeks ago.

That one is from my favorite BEATLES album, Rubber Soul.  Playing it now; love it.  Except one, which I always skip.

I didn't skip it so I heard it.  It's a Paul song I do not like.

I found out yesterday that the theme tune of The Guns of Navarone has lyrics: quite catchy.

How's this line: "Come from the sea with nitroglycerin, nitroglycerin......."  :buggedout:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.
