Clinton used his power to get his dick wet.
Trump is breaking laws.

QuoteThose who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

If history repeats itself than why hasn't it repeated itself? He's going into his 4th year of president how come he hasn't put Jews in concentration camps and invaded Poland

QuoteHis international policies are going to f**k us in the long run.
He kissed Putin's ass and Kim's ass

I like that your problem with his international policies aren't that he's starving the people of Iran and Syria with sanctions or helping Saudi Arabia bomb the destitute Yemenis, but that he's trying to make PEACE with two countries who aren't any sort of threat to us

chefzombie

you're partially right, lester. the true threat to our country is now POTUS.
don't EVEN...EVER!

A complacent, uninformed electorate will always be a threat to a republic. Honestly, when I see the large-scale embracing of misinformation combined with the sheer ignorance among people about what they think they know concerning the operation of government and governmental affairs, it leaves me wondering if most people deserve the vote.

Personally I think voting should be a privilege earned through various forms of national service, not a near universal right.

That means you couldn't vote.
Have you done various forms of national service?
Should the guy in office, or running for office, have done national service?
What does that mean? Enlighten my dumb ass.

Ahh look, a fascist is among us. You must be a Democrat, echoing Dred Scott and all: "separate, but equal."
First rule is, 'The laws of Germany'
Second rule is, 'Be nice to mommy'
Third rule is, 'Don't talk to commies'
Fourth rule is, 'Eat kosher salamis'

Having a minority opinion does not render one a fascist; let's not stoop to name-calling.

Democrats are fascists? Gosh, President Obama would have had to send himself to a camp then, wouldn't he?

RC, I think people who do the most to serve their nation and community are the most laudable people and through those efforts have earned a certain status above those who haven't. If you notice I said various forms of service, which doesn't have to be military, it can be the taking on of any number of civic endeavors, with some professions, maybe teaching included, being in that number. Those who have been in the military, the Peace Corps, in programs that could be brought into being, those willing to step forward and demonstrate a commitment to putting their country and others ahead of themselves would probably be the best and wisest electorate within a political system and an improvement over the one we have now, which has resulted by your own admission in some bad decisions.

No system will ever be perfect but a meritocracy does seem a higher form of political evolution.

Awfully big leap there calling someone a facist and not one I feel is backed up. Besides aren't democrats the left wing of American politics while I think you'll find facists are on the right wing.

Thank you!

It always amazes me when people don't know the difference in reactionary and radical (and yet that person's vote is as good as someone else's who does) but who will throw the word fascist around like they think it raises their IQ.

I mean, sure, fascists had excellent fashion sense and set the standard for movie villains, but they were a little too hard on reading material for my tastes. Plus, that whole death camp, war for world domination, women being constantly pregnant with the master race crap.

You know one thing I always thought the constitution of the Confederate States actually did get right?

(Slavery aside, in most ways it was a mess that would have resulted in a constant fight between the individual states that would have pushed for decentralization, and the national government every time it tried to impose outer control on them....think Yugoslavia without the Soviets making it work as long as it did.)

I think the Confederate states' idea that a President serve one six-year term with no re-election was not a bad idea, since it would have removed political campaigning from the President's job and let that person concentrate on statescraft and hopefully a legacy that bettered the country.

You make an excellent point.  Perhaps then you see the problem is not just money?  I think you imply that the POTUS has no values.  We agree.
