DRACULA VS FRANKENSTEIN is one of the best BAD movies I ever seen in my whole life.
I seen this thing when it first came out. It played local TV and theaters! Most melon head kids ate it up like candy. I was only 10- and I knew it was s**t even at that tender age. And it is s**t. But I like it anyway.
Dam. That was 47 years ago.. :buggedout:

There's an Al Adamson documentary out, BTW. "Blood & Flesh: The Reel Life & Ghastly Death of Al Adamson." Not out on DVD yet, sadly. I haven't seen it but a guy who writes for my site loved it (and he hadn't seen an Adamson movie before).

Adamson was murdered by a contractor.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I have seen the Richard Stanley movie. A very talented man who got screwed.
I look forward to seeing this, because Al is one of my favorite BAD movie directors of all time. I really do love his garbage! And the back story is amazing. 2 of his key players, Gary Kent and 'Bud' Cardos were actually the basis of Tarintino's ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. Because Al did film on the Spahn Ranch and had to try to keep the girls from f**king up his work! They all wanted to be in the movies!

I love watching his movies. I have a bunch on DVD and sometimes watch 2 or 3 in a row on a Saturday night.

Most recently, I watched:

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

It's on a double-feature DVD with Adamson's NURSE SHERRI

I owned it on VHS as BLACK VOODOO. I guess they kept changing the title . . . and for good reasons, too . . .

DRACULA VS FRANKENSTEIN is my favorite "bad" film of all-time. I have owned it in every home video incarnation since it first came out in VHS. Got it in DVD(several times) and own it in Blu ray. It may be bad, but it was made with heart and you just dont see this kind of psychotronic film any more.

My two other favorites of Al's are BLOOD OF DRACULA'S CASTLE and HORROR OF THE BLOOD MONSTERS, both examples of his style of film making and in need of a Blu ray upgrade, with all the trimmings for extras.
