A group of teens get trapped in a weird carnival inhabited by vampires, ghosts and zombies. One kid's parents go looking for them. Run of the mill stuff, right? Not quite...ya see, it never makes clear who is a ghost, who is a vampire and who is a zombie. Oh- and the ringleader of these ghouls controls them by showing old silent films with a 16mm projector (one of which is the HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME). At times it veers into a kinda art film-ya know, the kind where everything quits making sense and just concentrates on weird imagery and such nonsense. To it's credit, it IS gory ( flesh eating, bloody deaths, etc...), and kept my interest. Oh , and it's got Herve ("Da plane, Boss!") Villachaize too! And a guy playing an old gypsy woman! And was filmed at an abandoned carnival!
It veers from stupid to some very eerie scenes that look like they walked off a page of Tales from the Crypt.
Not to be confused with the 1970 CARNIVAL OF BLOOD with Burt (AMITYVILLE 2) Young.
It's on Tubi, if yer interested.

Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."
