I finally got around to watching the CG Addams Family movie that came out last year.

It's... alright.  It's not horrible, but it feels rather lackluster.

The plot involves how Gomez and Mortician were chased out of town when they first got married by an angry mob and settled in a place where they could be safe.  It also goes by the idea that none of them ever leave their house for anything.

And then a TV host that does remodeling shows comes to the town and decides their home is an eyesore.  On top of that, Wednesday makes friends with a normal girl and Pugsley is about to go through his comign of age ceremony.

Whole thing ends up with a follows the idea that "it's okay to be who you are," that just feels overdone.  Honestly much of it feels like a retread of the Raul Julia movie, just less interesting and without as much edge.

Not too particularly fond of the art style either, even if it is closer to the old comics.

There are a few good jokes here and there though.  I really liked how Morticia and Gomez first met Lurch.

Anybody else see this?

Seen it and agree with you totally. Felt very by the numbers.

No, but I did expect it to do better at the box office, than it did. Maybe its performance was due, for those who did see it, to the fact that it was too much "by the numbers." Though, its performance probably does mean that we won't be seeing a sequel.
