A few years ago I had the opportunity to show my boys "Ship of Shame".  They weren't into it because it was too old. Today we are watching The Blob (1988), and the scene where the kid reaches into the girls shirt then gets eaten by the blob happened. I said "See boys! That's what happens when you try to sexually assault a woman."

That got me thinking. What kind of movies can I show my kids to teach them about the "dangers of sex"?

The ones I could think of were
Teeth
It Follows
Contagion

What else?

Any FRIDAY the 13th movie. If you have sex when you are a teenager- something will kill you.

The original NIGHT OF THE DEMONS from 1988. Just your classic bunch of horny teenagers, but with extremely disgusting and sexualized demons tearing them apart! f**k yeah!
Awesome movie and great special effects.

KNOCK KNOCK is a great reminder of the potentially life-ruining price of adultery!!! LOL
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

Lair of the White Worm (review at this website) for the scene with the villainess putting the bite on a very tender part of the boy scout, while giving him a sponge bath in her hot tub. It also works as a warning about thumbing a ride with someone you do not know.

Though, when i saw the subject, I thought you were talking about the sex ed film Disney Studios did a number of years ago on the subject of menstruation.

I saw that on youtube not that long ago.  I'm going to ask my wife to show it to my daughter.

You know a movie that at its time should have put any Irish girl off sex entirely? The Magdalene Sisters.

Holy Jesus in a handcart that movie was a headbasher! Oh my God. And it was more realistic than exaggerated, I think.

It's like this.... In Ireland in the recent past young women....girls...deemed by Church or state to be "immoral, incorrigible, or at immediate risk of entering such states" could and often were sent to these hellish concentration camps called Magdalene Asylums that were run by an order of nuns called the Magdalene Sisters. The treatment those sent there received....does not bear detailing, but was cruelty in every way, physical and psychological, emotional and spiritual.

After I saw that dreary, disturbed and disturbing movie in the early 2000s I asked my mom about those places, which still existed well into her time living in Ireland, and she got serious looking and said, "Well the assumption was if you were a nice person, you had no reason to worry about them, and if you weren't you probably deserved what you got in there."

You deserved what you got there? Um, no.

Her youngest sister, almost a generation younger, just laughed when I asked her and said, "They were tramp camps but they're all closed now thanks to Amnesty International."

See that movie sometime if you want your stomach twisted up. If nothing else it is proof that you can have a scene where there are about two-dozen naked teenage girls, and the nudity does nothing whatsoever for anyone sexually, just makes you want to hand the poor abused creatures bathrobes.

It's a horrifying scar on the Irish nation that Magdalene asylums ever existed.

s**t, I'd have gone there for sure.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Alas the church in Ireland has a lot to answer for. The kinds of things that took place in those institutions still makes news nowadays on a semi-regular basis in te UK. It is one of many reasons I don't believe the church is morally fit to hold temporal or spiritual power, although the current pope has made some steps in rehabilitating it.

I agree. The Catholic Church has not proven itself a good steward.
