Getting an upper GI scope on the 21st

Been having some heartburn lately so my doctor wants to make sure it doesn't develop into something worse. My uncle had esophageal cancer so my doctor wants to keep a closer eye on such things.

No real downside to this procedure. Most likely, you'll be putting your mind at ease. If there is a problem you'll catch it early and have the best chance of beating it.  :thumbup:

Yeah they called back. It's not Barrett's esophagus but an inflammation. They're having me take a higher dose of omeprazole (aka Prilosec) and having me back in about two months to see if that helps.
