Do you know one out of four people have worms. Two guys in Tiawan lost thier arms during a tug of war contest. Or that people were drowned in a flood of beer and molasses in Boston and London.

What wierd factoids do you have?

Also on the show Unscrewed on TechTV a guy combined a disposable camerea a glove, and some other items to make a taser. They have it on their website Techtv.com/unscrewed

There's a recent book out "the secret lives of US presidents" that's full of presidental trivia. It's pretty good, reads quick and nicely illustrated.   For more of a monthly fix, there's the magazine "Mental Floss" which covers a varity of topics.

Clancy Brown, famous for playing The Kurgan in Highlander also provides the voice for Aku Alu in the Crash Bandicoot games. Recently he he also took over the part of Dr. Neo Cortex in the latest game in the series.

WOW this is awesome useless stuff. I'll tell it to girls right before I ask them out. `_~
A taser glove is a fun idea to do with your brother and random people on the streets. Just don't do the Micheal Jackson crotch grab when there on. Speaking of which I want to see Freddy Kruger dance to old James Brown's songs.

There is a paper a kid wrote on something called Dihydrogen Monoxide, which is a very caustic chemical  which circulated around the web and some  government official in California wanted to ban the stuff.

The paper is over a Snopes.com. You should read it first (sounds like really nasty stuff ) and then do a search in Google on the chemical name.  Then laugh your ass off.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

On Penn and Teller's "Bullsh*t" they sent a girl out with a petition calling for the ban of that at an enviroment fest. funny stuff. "it's found in lakes, creeks and the sky"

73% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Mr. Hockstatter

Hmmm, dihidrogen would be something like H2, and monoxide, O.  Never touch the stuff myself.

I love Dihydrogen Monoxide, when its laced with Caffine.sucrose and bovine secretions....

This is what's wrong with our media. The minute we here "chemicals." We get bad nightmares. When half the time it's in our bodies and food.

Don't follow this link if you are even remotely a hypochondriac.

Anybody interested in the Boston Molasses Flood should read the book Dark Tide by Stephen Puleo.  It's a fascinating and surprisingly readable book about that very thing.  It talks about the setup to the flood, the economic and political conditions, the flood, and the landmark case that followed it and held the corporation to be financially responsible for the damage they had caused.  Check it out.

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.
