The country and western singer and occasional actor has sadly passed away.

Sad news there.  His songs were a significant part of the soundtrack of my high school years.

Used to know a man in the '80s who was a dead-ringer for him. I also remember he'd take a baseball bat to icicles and swore they'd pull down gutters. We kids kind liked icicles....
