Has anyone seen the previews for this?  It looks like something to look forward to.

Check out the review on Creature Corner.

Careful though, it contains spoilers.

This is beginning to look like one of those films that is a blast to watch for the action in it, but afterwards when you think about the plot  it seem kind of  dumb.

This is directed by the guy who  The Mummy and The Mummy Returns.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I was really looking forward to this, but the commercials make it look like one long CGI fest, with no time for plot, character, or anything else.  And frankly, the CGI looks very cartoony to me, not mood-setting at all.

Foywonder

I don't think there's been a positive review for the movie yet from those that have seen advance showings.

"one long CGI fest, with no time for plot, character, or anything else. And frankly, the CGI looks very cartoony"

In fact, that's more or less what they've said.

so..we're gettign a B movie here and you guys ARENT gonna see it?

save the world, kill a politician or two.

It's Monster Squad 2004.  I will be severely p**sed off if the Wolf Man doesn't have nards.  Sommers is hit or miss.  Deep Rising was an amazing piece of work, really one of the most entertaining b-movies I've ever seen.  I wasn't so big a fan of Mummy and Mummy Returns.

Susan

Alot of cgi and i'm dissapointed with having frankenstein in it - that smells like sequels with other monsters. I was kinda hoping based on the title for a prequel ala bram stoker's dracula of van helsing..not an action packed cgi fest. maybe it's me but it looks like a movie for people with ADD

Doesn't look like a B-movie to me.  B-movies - for me - are defined by their limited budget which manifests itself in no-name actors and old-fashioned non-computerized special effects.  B-movies also have scripts that are bad in a funny way as opposed to just bad.  Dog Soldiers is a recent example of a great B-movie in my opinion.

This just looks like another instantly forgettable Hollywood splurge-fest.  Take a few names off the dust jacket from Dracula, work them into a 25-page script, get some hot flavor-of-the-month stars, and splice together 2 hours of frenetic mind-splitting CGI chase and fight scenes with the volume turned up to eleven.  If a bunch of people on this site say the contrary, I'll give it a chance, but for now, I have passed judgement.

That's entertainment!

Not only Kate Beckinsale, but Kate Beckinsale in a bodice!

Just read some reviews of this over at  Aint-it-Cool and the only good one was from a guys working as an intern at Troma. He said this was a Troma movie with a big budget.

Read for yourselves, it's the last review on the page:

The URL says "badmovies.org"  BADmovies.

But then I kinda don't mind "Omega Doom" and kinda liked "Cherry 2000"
