BLOOD SUCKING FREAKS (1976)  Also way more uninteresting than its reputation.  Another well remembered '80s rental that was    boring.  Oh so fake.  In a word: terrible.

Yeah. I had this on vhs back in the day. It's title and reputation is waaaay better rhan the film itself, which is a  (gasp) comedy! It's like an HG Lewis movie, except I can watch his junk and laugh. Crap like the WIZARD OF GORE is at least fascinating in a strange, over the top fake blood and cow guts way, but the INCREDIBLE TORTURE SHOW (or T.I.T.S.) is one thing a  good bad movie should not be...and your right. It's a bore.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

I have a soft spot for this movie.

Among my friends, I was known for my strange tastes in movies and THIS was one of my big go-to choices when I needed a strange but horrible movie to show people and make them suffer.  (The other one of my big two was Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things.)

I swear I heard "blood sucking freaks" in some movie I watched when I was younger but can't remember what
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

At least CHILDREN has a plot.

rented this when it first came out on video. I didn't have high expectations based on the cover art and description on the back of the video box. I thought it was cheap, sleazy and awful. The cinematography wasn't very appealing as well. I don't think I copied it from vhs to vhs, but if I did we didn't re-watch it. Pretty sure I've only seen it once. No need to rewatch to refresh my memory.

same here. It was the weirdest, most offensive movie at my local video store.

I sought out the directors other movies. There was one really bad shot in the Philipenes military themed one, but The Career Bed is great. a black and white Something Weird "roughie"

BLOOD SUCKING FREAKS has it all over ORGY OF THE DEAD... but that ain't sayin' much.

The Burgomaster

I LOVE this movie (in a bad movie way). Have it on DVD. Great late-night viewing.

I think I liked the part with the face kicks...

I remember finally renting this piece of crap somewhere in the early-mid 90s on VHS.  The special effects were downright horrible.  Just stupid trash.  This was actually originally rated X in its initial theatrical run as "The Incredible Torture Show".  That title about sums it up.
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

I guess it's obvious I'm not a fan of this movie... stupid, gross, fake, boring.  It was a kind of me and my buddies looking at each other watching a few more minutes and looking at each other... definitely in the realm of seriously?  But I think the face kicks were good.
