This might be the horniest guy who ever lived. He's been directing sexploitation since the 1960s and he's still at it. For crying out loud he directed Caligula!

So anyone ever see any of his movies?

I used to have the unrated version of Caligula on DVD. I may have to buy it again someday. More recently I got a lot of 3 DVDs I have to check out soon. In particular Frivolous Lola I've been curious about since the early 2000s when it popped up on a website of rare/exploitation DVDs I used to go to.

I tried watching the unrelated Caligula version on Netflix years ago.

I tapped out after the title character was porking his sister. The first time. Within the first 20 minutes.

Malcolm McDowell is so entertaining in this (he's my favorite actor of all time), but it's not a very complex story. It's basically lots of nudity and sex for the sake of nudity and sex. It was produced by Penthouse after all. As for the plot beyond that it pretty much boils down to, "My God is this guy an a***ole!"

If I wanna watch a porno, I'm gonna watch one where I can bust a nut in a few minutes and get it over with. This is just a porno with waaaay to much plot. His movie's are not sexy. They're boring.
Tinto Brass never made an even half way good movie in his life. His movies are bad- but not in a good way. I can't find one good thing to say about this guy's films. And I seen some bad s**t.

I've seen The Voyeur (L'Uomo che guarda) which is supposedly based on a novel by Moravia. For me it has the typical problems of would-be artistic erotic movies. It is not good enough to work as a drama and not sexy enough to be effective as porn (although this one has a lot of sexy stuff in it). I remember it as very beautifully filmed, but indeed, rather boring.

CALIGULA is not bad!  It also has a terrific score.  There's not just sex in it, it's got some violence too!  I saw CALIGULA in a regular movie theater that was packed.  I'm sure everyone there knew what to expect.  It's more than a porno. TINTO BRASS didn't shoot any of the porn parts.  The idea was to create a REAL movie that happens to have porn in it.

It's a lot of fun, but for all the sex and violence there's not much plot to it. Of course like you said you should know what to expect. It's not going to be Stanley Kubrick. Although McDowell gives perhaps his funnest performance since A Clockwork Orange
