I was thinking, I haven't seen every film made by even my favorite directors. I've missed a number of Kubrick films. There's one David Lynch movie I haven't seen and have no plans to (plus a lot of shorts). I skipped Ed Wood's late porn films. I gave up on Andy Sidaris after 7 or 8 movies.

The only directors I can think of for whom I've seen all of their movies are the ones with very small bodies of work. Some with only two or three movies. Among directors I can think of for whom I've seen every film they made, Satoshi Kon probably has the most (he only made 4 features before dying young).

I guess I'm just not obsessive about seeing everything someone makes; I don't make it a priority.

How about the rest of you? Do you make it a point to see everything a particular director makes? And if so, among those whose entire body of work you've seen, who has the most movies? (Actors could count for these purposes, too).

I dunno. I seen all Ed Wood's movies! I have seen every Kubrick movie, after finally seeing BARRY LYNDON- which I didn't think I would like. But I did. If anything, the photography is beautiful.
I seen all Bruce Lee's movies! Not every episode of the Green Hornet or the ones he did as a child in China in the 40's and 50's.

I have seen all but one of John Carpenter's movies. Not caught his biopic of Elvis.

I've seen all of Tarantino's except the latest one...

seen 14 out of Dario Argento's 18 full length movies

I've only seen JACOB'S LADDER and fast-forwarded through 9 1/2 WEEKS as a teen looking for good parts.

I have BARRY LYNDON on DVD and an OOP CD of the Soundtrack. I truly dislike RYAN O'NEAL though too old, he is perfect casting for the part of Redmond Barry (kind of a loyal foolish turd). That's probably my favorite KUBRICK film but those I know, I love.

I don't chase down anybody's career in film, but there are several directors I usually enjoy. Now if we were talking records (as in music) I do chase down lots of artists careers... my favorite!

I saw parts of lots of movies on Cinemax or Showtime or HBO or whatever, so I think I might have seen a bit of it. The pitch for FATAL ATTRACTION never appealed to me.

Lynne does guy- girl relations and dialogue so well. these areas are always a rough spot in movies, especially the kind we discuss horror, action , etc

Fatal Attraction is interesting because it could happen. most movies have insane elements. how many extended fight scenes or car chases are there in real life? How many hookers with hearts of gold go to Thailand with a rookie cop and expose a human trafficking ring?

and he's not pretentious. Flashdance had a tacked on ending that sucked, but the others are on point
