when i hear it's partly found i'm hopeful you know there's actually a lot of Hitch's films lost, one was a short he did in (1930) and the rest are his silents both behind the camera and before he became a director and was a Title Designer

A lost film I would love to see is Lon Chaney's A BLIND BARGAIN (1922)

Street-Fighter (1959)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053311/

Produced, Directed & Staring Vic Savage, AKA Art Nelson, several years before he made The Creeping Terror...

According to reports, there's only one very poor VHS transfer known to exist.

I seen it! On tape! A looong time ago- like 1989. From a company like Video Search of Miami.

I've read that many of cult no-budget horror/sexploitation director Andy Milligan's early films are lost.

...though if what little I've seen of his work that's survived is any indication, that may not be such a bad thing. That guy couldn't direct traffic. :D

if i recall wasn't some of his films found in recent years and those are the ones that are now on blu-ray?  i've never seen anything he's done so ya got me on how  god or bad his films are.

"THE ACTORS AND MONSTERS ACTUALLY LEAVE THE SCREEN AND COME OUT INTO THE AUDIENCE"

s'pose this begs the question, are those actors and monsters lost as well ?  :teddyr:

The Cure for Insomnia, listed by Guinness World Records as the longest movie ever made for years, apparently has no known extant copies.

Miracle of the White Reindeer - Saw this listed on KiddieMatinee's archive, with a note that they couldn't find a copy of the film. They contacted the daughter of the film's director, & her family didn't have a copy either. Seems like it was only released locally in the early 60's, as sort of a passion project by the girl's father. Makes me want to see it, but I doubt it still exists.

There was a SA movie made in the late 70s called "Mighty Man" - a black superhero righting wrongs in South Africa - which I get asked  about a bit: it seems to be a lost film as we don;t have it. It was directed by the person who made The Demon.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I tried watching The Demon today, but the picture quality on the copy was so poor I couldn't see what was happening on screen alas.

Most of Spencer William's films have been found, but Brother Martin: Servant of Jesus, is still lost.

My mentor Vincent G Cox ASC photographed that.  :teddyr: :teddyr:
