New Evil Dead movie in the works

Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are working on another Evil Dead movie. 

Sadly this time Bruce seems to be staying behind the camera and only working as a producer.  He says he's retired as Ash and it's time to let some other idiot try to save the world.  Right now reports are mixed as to whether that "other idiot" is a new character or whether they're recasting a younger actor to play Ash.

Also Bruce has said that this time the Evil Dead are tearing up a city.  Further reports says that the movie is likely to take place in a skyscraper, which just makes me imagine a much bloodier Gremlins 2. 

As a big Evil Dead fan (I didn't even think the remake was that bad) I look forward to seeing what they're going to do, although it will be sad to see Bruce not strap the chainsaw back on again.

I agree about Bruce retiring from the role being sad, although having read his biography I can understand why he wouldn't want to be tortured by Sam Raimi any more lol. I'll be interested to see where they take it.

Honestly, what's the point of doing the franchise without Ash? Why not create something new? It's just shameless milking.
