National Lampoon started out with a bang in ANIMAL HOUSE way back in 1978.   Caddyshack has some moments..but they went downhill right after Doug Kenny killed himself shortly after the release of Caddyshack.

Apparntly, your production company can pay National Lampoon to slap on "National Lampoon Presents"  for a modest fee now adays... this explains why "National Lampoon presents:  Jake's booty Call" Based on a flash animated web series.. which they turned into a 90 minute film.  A film that got a theatrical release... a flash animated full length film.. Im not kidding.

I won't bother sharing the "plot" or "story" as there is little to none.   But you can imagine that a full lenght flash animated movie on the big screen didn't go over too well.

Can you name your "favorite"  National Lampoon "presents"?

I stand partly corrected, it was written by Doug Kenny (founder of National Lampoon magazine)

Interesting. The full story and a list of titles on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Lampoon_films

I've never seen a "National Lampoon Presents" film, but I've seen the titles pop up on Tubi and such.

I thought Movie Madness Vacation and class Reunion was funny but other than that they've went down hill.

I liked VACATION and CHRISTMAS VACATION. And that's about it.

if i'm not mistaken i think it was Tim Matheson i could be wrong obtained the rights to the magazine at some point and than he sold them and after he sold them i'm not sure what year it was but it was for a big sum of cash apparently & after that they started to turn to trash though the last one i did like was Van Wilder (2002) that one is among my favorite films & the rest of the ones after that are utter trash
