EL TOPO invented what are now called midnight movies. Or cult movies.
It's a baffling film- and an excellent one. John and Yoko distributed it in NYC! So it was 'hip'.

And Jodorowsky composed the soundtrack despite having no previous musical training, and did a pretty good job.

I tried to finish SANTE SANGRE last night, but I was too tired. I am going to start it again. The guy has some kind of vision, I just haven't figured it out. I read in an old Castle of Frankenstein magazine an interview with him. He was talking like he was tripping on something.   :thumbup:
