I haven't watched this, but saw it was on Amazon Prime.

From reading the description the plot is that it's a comedy set in 2040 that takes all the super right wing conspiracy theories and shows what the world would be like by then if they were true. In this Universe Trump mysteriously dies shortly after being elected. Obama then declares himself president for life. The 2040 part is about a resistance movement called the Trumpublikans fighting to free the US in what has been renamed Obamaland.

It currently has 58 votes on IMDB.

I'm surprised this isn't from Dinesh D'Souza, that bats**t insane plot would be up his alley. For reference he made Hillary's America and Death of a Nation, both of which are insane propaganda movies
yeah no.

I disagree.....
D'Souza's stuff NEVER lives up to the hype, and the gross discrepancies between the bamster's words & his actions in of themselves would've made for a great bmovie!

Suddenly, I can't wait to see the scene in which Obama claims The Republicans (whom a week earlier, he was saying didn't exist anymore) are somehow responsible for that six-headed flying shark that's been attacking the Lesbian Security Division!!!

I feel no need to watch political horror films. I can see that sh!t on the news. I won't see the  HUNT (the HUNT is a very left wing movie about Republicans hunting down and killing people), or this.
It's divisive and useless. As far as movie making goes-it's not good.
It's not bad. It's garbage. Propaganda films, I don't care who makes them, whether it's Leni Riefenstahl or whoever directed the HUNT or this s**t. Watch it-throw it away. Like a paper coffee cup.
It's the new exploitation.

I think the trailer is about as much of that as I want to handle.

It's the new exploitation.

You have the Hunt kinda backwards - it's about coastal rich liberal elites (New Yorkers if memory serves) hunting down lower class rural, probably Republican Americans.  It also tries to make basically zero true political statements despite this concept, which is just bizarre to me.  It's an incredibly politically charged concept, and they do virtually nothing with it, why even bother?  Feels even more exploitive for it, especially with all the ads going "SEE THE CONTROVERSY!" and other nonsense.

It's passably entertaining with a terrific lead performance from Betty Gilpin (she's the only reason I'd recommend the film), but mostly a waste of time otherwise.

One great scene though.

I have no need to watch any of these for any reason.
Politics just p**s me off. I'm tired of this s**t. It's not helping my brain in any way.
