Whe eating something you have to cut, Do you cut it up into bite size pieces all at once then start eating

OR

Do you cut it up as you go along?
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Cut it up as I go along. Seems silly, lazy and childlike to cut all at once.

Leah

Mainly cut as I go but I sometimes cut it all up beforehand.
yeah no.

If it's something like Salisbury steak or Spam I'll cut it before I start eating, otherwise I cut as I go.

I cut as I go......
Unless it's a spiral sliced ham; then there's a teency bit o' confusion..........

I concur. If it's hot food, it does not retain its heat as much if you cut it up all at once.

I see it as efficient. when you work in food service, you're lucky to get 3 bites every ten minutes, it makes sense to have it ready to go.
don't EVEN...EVER!

When at work perhaps. When you have "quiet" time at home eating a meal, do you still cut it all at once?
It made sense to cut all at once for the elderly and disabled when I worked in a retirement home. And it might be helpful to cut all when you have small children.

That's funny, I cut it up as I go because I'm too lazy to cut it up beforehand. But Zelmo might have a point that it could cool faster if you cut it beforehand.

That might be a good thing; sometimes that stuff is too hot!

I cut it up as I go. I mean, what if I get full before I finish whatever I am cutting up?
Then, like, if I had steak, I would nuke it as little cubes. I don't know.
Don't seem natural. Kinda spooky.

I dunno. What kind of meal is so hot you rather cut it beforehand to make it cool faster instead of waiting one minute? For example when I'm at the restaurant and order a schnitzel

the meat is already cooling as the waiter brings it from the kitchen. Its not like its sizzling with deadly heat on the plate. Its a thin piece of meat bound to cool quickly as soon as it leaves the pan.

I had my share of piping hot soup though but that you can't cut

Claws & fangs, I presume, or do you politely ask your meat to surrender?
