Cut it up as I go along. Seems silly, lazy and childlike to cut all at once.

I see it as efficient. when you work in food service, you're lucky to get 3 bites every ten minutes, it makes sense to have it ready to go.

When at work perhaps. When you have "quiet" time at home eating a meal, do you still cut it all at once?
It made sense to cut all at once for the elderly and disabled when I worked in a retirement home. And it might be helpful to cut all when you have small children.
yes, i still  do, the efficiency of it at work makes sense in my home life as well. i eat in a more leisurely manner at home instead of in 90 second bursts, but it's still nice to just have my plate ready to go when i hit my chair.
don't EVEN...EVER!

I would say this describes my behavior.

These things called knives and forks: we don't use them in Africa

Claws & fangs, I presume, or do you politely ask your meat to surrender?

  Bit of both.

I usually cut it up beforehand.  Every time I try cutting as I go, I start feeling like a presumptuous food snob  :tongueout:
