I just found out on FB that one of our founder members here, Eddie Erwin aka Trekgeezer passed away in March 2020.

I wasn't aware of this until I went to his FB page a few minutes ago: I knew he was ill but this is sad.

I'm going to work tomorrow and will look again at the two Kirk and Spock action figures he sent me many years ago.

RIP, Trek.  :bluesad:

Funny, I was just thinking about him, wondering if he had passed away. I recall in one of his last posts here, he announced that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Terrific, sweet guy. R.I.P.

That's what I remember about him too: sad that his passing happened over a year ago. I feel quite sad now but I'll look at the action figures he sent me (which are in my office and everyone remarks on) tomorrow and think of him.

Dam. He was a great guy. Whenever I bought old magazines with anything Star Trek related, I would mail them to him. He in turn sent me old Famous Monsters. If there's a heaven he's there.

What a shame. There should be a permanent memorial thread here for members who are deceased.

Oddly enough, today is his birthday.  :bluesad:

Sad.  I'm going to have to look at the older pages of these threads and see what our conversations were like; I'm sure he was a nice guy but I can't remember what we talked about.

I remember when I first came here, his avatar was a pic of Kirk screaming and he wrote MENAAAAAARDDD! underneath it
