I enjoyed this movie and might go so far as to call it a great film and one of my favorites, but I can see why it did not register as a huge financial success, because it is slow-moving, deep, and the tones of both the plot and the setting itself were dark, wintery, unwelcoming.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

I have it DVR'd to watch but haven't seen it yet.

I wanted to watch this in theaters, but some events kept me from going.  I'd been on a medieval kick lately, so this move interested me.   I do want to watch it.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

It keeps amazing me how now that he's like 80 Ridley Scott keeps doing rookie mistakes when it comes to moviemaking. "The Last Duel" is, no doubt, a good movie, but a veteran like him should have known retelling the same events from three different points of view is not an efficient way to tell a story, unless you're Akira Kurosawa.

Also, the third act is a bit heavy-handed. But yeah, the final duel is amazing.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
