All Hail Perico, the Mexican Cornjob!

And All Hail the breakout star of the Gizmoplex Era, White Dot!

Sitting Duck

Five episodes in and mostly good so far. The one stumbling block is Munchie, which reminds that the one thing worse than a bad comedy is a bad comedy aimed at kids. I don't know how he did it, but Dom DeLuise managed to be more annoying than Robin Williams, if only just. Hopefully they've relearned their lesson about how riffing (intended) comedies is a bad idea.

Beyond Atlantis ended up not being the chore to watch I feared it was going to be. Certainly nowhere near as unpleasant as Beast of Yellow Night. Glad to know I wasn't the only one having trouble telling Patrick Wayne and John Ashley apart. They sure were fascinated by Sid Haig's character seeing as how they devoted two host segments to him.

One troubling moment occurs near the beginning when we see two women lugging along a clearly unconscious guy (which gets riffed as, "Weekend at Bernie's III: Havana Nights"). It looks like it may have been actual locals going about their business rather than actors. Best case scenario, the guy got passed out drunk and those are bar employees taking him home to sleep it off. A more unsavory possibility is that these are two ladies of the night in the process of rolling a john.

Looking forward to the next few. Demon Squad has a community theater adaptation of The Dresden Files (which I mean in the best way possible) which I'm totally down for. Then more Showa era Gamera with a generous side order of Cornjob. Then Batwoman with the most eyepopping superheroine costume design, second only to Kekko Kamen.

I haven't seen DR. MORDRID yet but so far I'd say the season is about what I expected. On the level of the Netflix era in terms of writing quality. Not up to the classic era episodes, of course, but much better than, say, Season 1. Was very impressed with Emily as a host and looking forward to seeing more of her.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...
