What would you do if you were serving on a parole board, and were soon to hear the plea for release of a notorious mobster, but shortly before the hearing you were ominously told by a member of his family that if you didn't let this mobster free you would soon be in a universe of long-lasting pain, but then almost immediately after, you were also clandestinely approached by another sinister individual from a rival family and told that if you did let him out of prison you were in for serious if not fatal physical problems? What would you do?

With my upbringing? Buy a weapon and do some threatening of my own.

Shoot him, thus fulfilling both requirements.

(Uh, I originally posted this thought in the wrong thread....)
If you notice, this gangster situation is similar to the one Fred and Barney faced while judging a beauty contest.

I got told I look like I am 38 today, which means I am too young to have any idea who Fred & Barney are.

I asked a friend today if by some chance she happened to have a photograph of herself in mail armour I could use. Surprisingly, she didn't.

It seriously makes me 😠 to realise that Alec Baldwin might be getting away with murdering Haylana Hutchins 😠😠

I haven't followed the case and don't care much for Baldwin (except in Beetlejuice of course) but is there actually evidence of murder? Murder is intentionally, deliberately killing another person. To plan a killing and carry it out is, I believe, first-degree murder, and to deliberately kill without aforethought is second degree murder. As I have always understood it. The planning or intention is what differentiates murder from manslaughter. Has it been shown he truly wished to kill those people? I was under the impression it was an accident, maybe some negligence involved, but is it shown he intended to kill?

I'm thinking manslaughter would be a more appropriate charge, if he were charged.
From everything I have read, this person was his friend and what happened was an accident.

I haven't heard whether the criminal investigation has been dropped or not, but...............
Part of the settlement includes Halyna Hutchins' husband Matthew is now executive producer, and Rust resumes filming in January....

Maybe murder is too strong a word to use but the fact remains is Baldwin discharged a revolver, the DP on the film was struck by a bullet and died of her injuries. He should have some accountability in the matter, either a jail sentence and/or massive reparations to Ms Hutchins' family: John Landis got away with it, Randall Miller received a short jail sentence and on and on. Makes me massively angry.

I imagine he will go to great lengths to try and make restitution to the family.  i sure hope so, anyway.

I would also hope so but I don't know.

I did hear that the family had received an out-of-court settlement. These amounts are generally kept private though. The family spokesman (I think it was her father) also said that no one in the family blamed anyone for it, viewing it more as a tragic accident. That might be part of the settlement, or it could just be how they genuinely feel.
