Beer problems at the 2022 Soccer World Cup

I always thought that the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa was the best but something tells me that the 2022 edition in Qatar is going to be the worst.

And now beer sales have been totally banned: the games are being held in the middle of the desert. What do they want the spectators to drink, water? 😳😳

I have a vegan friend who regularly preaches about how we should stop eating animals and be nice to them and so forth. He told me he was planning on watching the world cup, so I challenged him on Qatar's human and animal rights record. After quite some thought he came back and told me that he realised watching it would be immoral, but he was going to do it anyway.

I've told him to remember this the next time he judges someone for eating meat.

While their human rights record is poor it's even worse for women, lgbtq and non Muslims. Hell, Saudi Arabia, our 'Ally', recently declared atheists to be terrorists.

That's why I, as a long-term soccer fan haven't watched a single match of this world cup. I love soccer but not that much.
