Ya know, up until a few days ago I had never seen Rocky II.
I had seen every other Rocky film but part 2 seemd to have slipped through the cracks somehow.

AMC had been showing every Rocky film for 5 days straight and so on the first day I watched the original which I'd seen many times before.
When I saw that they were going to show Rocky II the following day I just had to finally sit down and watch it.

And damn, what a decent film it was!
I like how it starts immediately where the original left off.
I finally got to see Rocky marry Adrian and best of all I got to see Rocky kick the ever lovin' s**t out of Apollo Creed and win the title.
When they both went down and the first man to get up would win, I was yelling at the TV, "Get up dammit!!  Get up!!" even though I knew in the back of my mind he was gonna win.
Needless to say, I was really into this film.

"YO ADRIAN!!!!!!!!"

What do you personally think of Rocky II compared to the others?

I think that Rocky II and III are okay, IV is one of the worst movies I have ever seen, V isn't as good as II or III, but isn't as bad as IV.  The original is a classic.

I  saw Irwin Winkler on the Sunday Morning Shootout last week and he Stallone is suing them to make Rocky VI. It already has a script but since they own the rights Stallone can't do it without  their permission.

I'm trying to figure out what it would be about , he is going to fight George Foreman?

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Maybe Rocky introduces a line of cookware and stretch-waist trousers, and He and Foreman duke it out on The Home Shopping Network!!

Everyone has potentially fatal flaws, but yours involve a love of soldiers' wives, an insatiable thirst for whiskey, and the seven weak points in your left ventricle.

I heard Stallone wanted to finish the series with the death of Rocky, from going back for one fight too many or something.

Rocky 2 was such a classic - you don't see tension like 2 guys struggling to beat the 10 count  anymore!

My mother in law actually jumped up in the theater and screamed at the movie screen in Rocky 4 when Apollo was killed. Talk about being moved by the action!

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

It still makes me think of that scene in "Spaceballs" when there's an advertisement for "Rocky Five.....Thousand!"

The fight scenes were really well done in Rocky II. And yes, Rocky 1 is a classic, but the punches in II looked so much more real. Burgess Meredith was wonderful in both of them. And the classic scene with Rocky doing a commercial was hilarious.

Cheese is good food. So are the movies. Not food that is, just cheese.
