I've noticed that food packets quite often no longer have cooking instructions for microwaves, but do put them on for air friers now. We got rid of our microwave several years ago and I am just wondering if other people here have also got rid of theirs?

Have both. I am so far of the view that air fryers may be slightly hyped.

^ I don't like air fryers. Makes the food too dry.

i have a notebook with microwave directions for most anything that had them on the box/packet/pouch. the print was too small, so i wrote them out. now i can give them to those who ask. as for air fryers, nope, don't care to own own, or i'd just have a convection oven.
don't EVEN...EVER!

We have an air fryer and it works GREAT on dark chicken parts like thighs and legs; all the fat gets rendered out and they come out crisp and tender.  Wings also come out great but I like them crispy.  I don't eat chicken breast much so haven't done those.
Also good for vegetables particularly breaded zucchini...
