THE APPLE (1980) This sounds bad enough to check out.

If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

it took me a long time to track this down, I had to get a czec import dvd in the end.... it's definitely bad enough to be good, but also has some vaguely interesting parallels to today's 'surveillance state' society in the storyline (...maybe)

Leftover Glam Rock costumes with moth holes and bad bad bad songs.  It ranks... well, just rank.  Made me laugh unintentionally several times, but it's a cardinal sin for a movie : BORING!

I didn't like it either for the same reason.

No singing, no acting, no songs!  Marginally musical, worth a few laughs at it's cheapo crappiness, but just dreadful.   MANOS is more entertaining.

Pro-hippie, anti-disco. That's as deep as it goes.

Well, I 'spose, you mean like Inspector cheezus Freaks...?  Professor god Higgins walks outta the sky, invites the right people to walk into the sky, leaving the worst singers on Urth....?  The apple is a reference to Alphie and Bibi, er, Adam and Eve TEMPTATION, but NO Christianity.  Definitely WTF?

No.  It's definitely bad, but not in any good way.  Definitely no fun allowed.  Few movies have ever achieved such inadequate mediocrity married to a bad idea to begin with.

well, I mean, I am not alone in thinking this... let me cherrypick some quotes from imdb reviews:

THE APPLE is so audacious, so over the top, so
totally awful that it is simply wonderful...a positively guilty pleasure to top all guilty pleasures

-

Look high and low, far and wide, but it is unlikely that a more splendiferously hideous film will be found

-

an appalling piece of crap that nevertheless makes you want to enjoy the guilty pleasure again and again.

-

A marvelously absurd and messed-up one-of-a-kind camp masterpiece.

-

the most enjoyable bad/good movie I've seen in a long time... I was never bored for one second

and so on... don't get me wrong you're entitled to your opinion but it js just that.
