All my life I've wandered remote creekbeds, river banks, and lake shores looking for arrowheads and fossils.
Spending so much time along these bodies of water has left me with a rather deep-seated fear that one of these days, I will stumble across a human body - someone who drowned, or maybe a murder victim.

Today was that day.

Or so I thought for a couple of minutes, anyway.
My son-in-law Joseph and I were out on the lake with our friend Josh, crawling along the shallow water looking for arrowheads, when I saw something human-sized and pink rocking gently in the waves near the shore ahead of us, mostly submerged.  The longer I stared at it, the more human its contours seemed. Finally I said "Joseph, please tell me that's not a person there!"
Joseph stood to get a better angle and then gasped and said: "Of f***!  I see an ear!  Oh s*** oh S***!!!!"  Then he backed away and started crossing himself.  Josh was behind us, and I said: "Josh, we're going to need to go back to the boat to call 911.  That's a body floating up there!"

Josh kept the calmest head of any of us.  He waded over to the object and lifted it out of the water by a VERY real-looking arm, studied it for a moment, and then called out:
"It's a freaking sex doll!"

Relief.  Disgust.  Amusement.  All at once!
Soon we were laughing, sitting her up, posing for pictures with her, after setting her wig back on her head (it had washed off but was lying next to her).
But even at that, every time I touched her, she felt disturbingly REAL.
I now have a new story of the most bizarre thing I have ever found while out looking for artifacts.
Someone's latex "companion!"

Whoo-hoo, free sex doll! Short of finding a Clovis, could that day get any better?

I have so many questions!  What did you guys do with it?  Did you leave it there?  Was it one of those expensive $10k+ dolls?  Maybe it needs to be turned over to police?  What if it's evidence??  Are you putting it on youtube?  Congratulations?

We stood her up on the bank, leaning against a tree, to avoid anyone else being as freaked out as we were!
(And yes, left her on the lake - maybe some lonely fisherman now has a new girlfriend!)
I am not sure how much she would have cost, new, but I will say she FELT real - thick but soft latex over some sort of hard frame, with joints you could bend and pose and three (apparently) working orifices.  I figure she probably cost several thousand dollars new.
No, not going to put it on YT or social media - I have too many kids who follow me.
But we did take a lot of pics and you can PM me if you want to see them!
Congratulations?  Thanks, I guess.

I am vaguely curious about how people know the costs of sex dolls.

Not curious enough to want to know the answer though.

Sorry, I googled the price: around $6000.  :buggedout:

I wonder if people only go for sex dolls if they can't get themself someone willing to do it with them ever for money. Cannot help but feel that must be one of the most pathetic things in existence. Oh well, I really shouldn't kink shame, but aren't they good enough to pleasure themselves with their hand? I've done some strange stuff in my time I guess, but it was always with a willing partner.

You know I was seriously in college before I realized blowup dolls/sex dolls were a real thing and not just something mythical you hear about, like bigfoot, or like Republican sociologists. I think artificial sex companions will eventually become more commonplace as AI and androids become more realistic and cheaper. Hey, as long it doesn't involve children, animals, or the un-consenting, have fun.
