If you think of a movie that I might not like (there aren't many), name it and I will confirm or deny.

To get started:

I hated District 9 for various reasons. I actually walked out and demanded my money back.
I was invited to the premiere of Master Harold and The Boys in 2010: I left because I didn't like the film although the play was good.

I don't know about movies you don't like, but you should try Stanley Kubrick's little-known adaptation of THE SHINING. It's fantastic, improves greatly on the source material! I think you'd like it!
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

😅😅

I was expecting that one.

I was just very disappointed in the book to film adaptation that so much of the book (like its humor) was tossed aside but hey, I spent almost a whole two days writing a review of it for this site so it wasn't all bad 😉

Nukie

Strange one that: filmed locally, sold overseas and then a German film company bought the rights, chucked most of the film away and re-shot it. Not bad but not all that good. :buggedout:

This was a review on the IMDB: it really isn't that bad.  :teddyr:

QuoteThis film is quite possibly the worst movie ever made. I still cannot believe how horrible this movie was. The acting was terrible. The sound was painful. The camera never moved. This film is the exact opposite of everything a good movie is. Nukie is painful enough to make small children cower in the corner for days and make grown men weep. I watched this film with my little brother and we had to stop 30 minutes in because he was literally getting sick to his stomach. By all means, if you watch this movie do NOT watch it alone or in the vicinity of sharp objects. This film is only for those who are brave of heart. Therapy may be needed after viewing.

Here's a shock: I liked the movie, never read the book though.

You're not alone, Trevor. I didn't care for it either - and I saw it for free.

BLOOD DIAMOND.

Definitely: locally filmed but it irritated the crap out of me, especially Leo De Crapio and his "Rhodesian" accent.  :twirl:

If you want to know what a Rhodesian accent really sounds like, listen to me talk.

Invictus: although well intentioned, this film is a largely inaccurate mess which makes a mockery of a historic and nation building event in South Africa's history in 1995.

I suggested it specifically for Leo's accent, I read that it's terrible. Of course I have no idea if that's true, now I do. :teddyr:
