This is a precious sort of series, because something like this so rarely gets made that it's worth savoring. It works as fantasy, as the sort of animation it's a true pleasure to look at, and as storytelling. It feels like a show from maybe the 1930s, but it's a product of the relative here and now. Great voice cast, satisfying to listen to, to see, to re-watch. I'd have wrapped it up differently (for sure) but even that doesn't detract from how good it was across most of its runtime. A solid A.
