OKay maybe I am freaking out or hallucinating.  However I remember seeing a movie in 1992 entitled "The Miracle Mile"  it was about a nuclear disaster that was going to happen and people trying to leave an area on a helicopter.  However at the end they all die because the bomb goes off and the helicopter doesn't make it.  I can't even find it on IMDB.  Am I insane or does this move exist?

Yep, I've seen it in a couple of places. Starred Anthony Edwards.

Been meaning to rent it, but haven't gotten around to it so far. Thanks for spoiling the ending :)

Yes.  This movie exists and is available on DVD for under $10.00.  I rented the VHS tape several years ago and thought it was fast moving, but a bit over done.  Was this a theatrical release or a made-for-cable movie?  The DVD is a full-screen version, which resulted in me NOT buying it.  But if it was made for TV and filmed in a full-screen aspect ratio, I WILL buy it.

>I can't even find it on IMDB.

If you searched for "The Miracle Mile", I can understand why. The titale was juts "Miracle Mile" and the IMDB's stupid new search engine often screws up with your include "the" at the start of a title. It's better to just search for the rest of the words in the title.

I don't recall seeing it advertised for the theaters, but that doesn't mean much. IMDB doesn't have it listed as a TV movie.

Miracle Mile -- I was working in Burbank at the time with Robert DoQui in a stage play -- "Sweet Victory" -- & he was in Miracle Mile as the diner-owner.  Very proud of it all.  I remember going to see it & talking about it with him afterwards.
At the time, Cathy Lee Crosby was considered the big star of the film, and she's only in the one diner scene.
I thought it would've helped if they'd stuck with the group in the diner, rather than going further afield with Rip Torn on the roof, etc.
I liked the constant shots of he LaBrea Tar Pits -- great foreshadowing for a zero-budget effort!
