The forth Tremors movie, which will be at least partially set in the old west, is going to be on SciFi this Saturday at 9pm Eastern. They're showing Tremors 2 & 3 before it. Too bad they aren't airing the first one as well, but I think it's some kind of rule that one channel can never show all the films in a series in one day.

I didn't know that.  Why do you suppose that is?

>I didn't know that. Why do you suppose that is?

Well, I meant it more as a joke. If you notice, when channels air movies that are part of a series, like the Tremors movies, they never air all the movies in the series. Even when it was just Tremors and Tremors II, no station ever played them back to back (that I saw).

I actually think TNT or someone has the cable rights to the original. Was I seeing things or is Fred Ward back in the fourth one?

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Does anyone know why they made sequels and a series? Didn't they feel the need to change the premise every time, like they walk on the surface, or fly, or breathe fire?

I could have sworn I've seen it on USA, which is owned by the same company as the SciFi channel.

>Was I seeing things or is Fred Ward back in the fourth one?

He's not listed in the cast at the IMDB.

This is a classic case of  a really good movie that spawned a rash of  silly sequels. They never got the chemistry of the original, although, I have to say I enjoyed the series on its own merits.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Really hated number 2, though -- the director had Fred mug uncontrollably.  4 is supposed to be an origins story, so maybe some promise there --

Watching the origainal now...haven't seen it in about 14 years when I saw it in the theatre as a kid...jus before high school.  I think it's still a good movie and right on with the chemistry.  Didn't care much for the sequels.
