I was surprised to see that the three Hobbit movies came in at under 3 hours. I'have only seen the first one, and that felt considerably longer.

oof... according to wiki and imdb the first 2 instalments of LORD OF THE RINGS are 178 mins and 179 mins respectively ...

part 3 earns its place here though:
