I can't find this movie and it's driving me crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can remember about this movie is that a white guy is racing a city bus for training, and kicking glass bottles to obtain what his black gang member mentor calls reach. What is the name of this movie????

The bus racing sounds like it might be the Melvin Van Pebbles directed race satire "Watermelon Man" starring the late great Godfrey Cambridge. Odd, uneven film, very dated now, but I still like it.

Do the people on the bus hate the guy and tell the driver to hurry up and blow through stops? Does he later wake up and realize he has turned black? Could be it.
