The former Buffy actor who has had something of a troubled life has died at the age of 54.

Shame.  He never really had that much of a career, but he was a good solid performer in everything I did see him him. 

Kinda weird how it happened right after they announced the new Buffy series was dead though.

He was solid on Buffy. I think he did Criminal Minds as well. But ultimately, he had some alcoholism and domestic incidents over the years. Shame though cause last I heard he'd rebounded a bit.
